Description:

Evening Shift CNA

This position will be responsible for assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care, enhancing restorative care, elevating the patients’ quality of life by providing a healing environment and assisting in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Give direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse (ie: bath, oral hygiene, perineal care, etc)
  • Assist with admission, transfer, or discharge procedures of patients to include ER and Acute.
  • Maintain room order including bed making and care of soiled linen, cleaning bedside tables, and chest of drawers and closet as necessary;
  • Assist in passing trays, feeding patients, and recording of dietary intake;
  • Complete routine daily assignments;
  • Maintain a safe environment of care;
  • Complete education as assigned and attend ten (10) meetings; of which, at least eight (8) will need to be in person and two (2) can be via web-ex options.
  • Other duties as assigned by the charge nurse, clinical nurse manager or CNO.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Nursing Assistant Certification, current nursing student, EMT or Paramedic.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Displays a caring compassionate behavior and demonstrates responsiveness to the needs of the patient, families, peers, and staff.
  • Knowledge of computer applications
