Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire Maintenance.

As Maintenance at MercyOne, you will evaluate a variety of functions in the maintenance, repair and upkeep of the physical plant, grounds, and equipment.    Supports, facilitates, and participates in the elder-focused social model of care.

• Utilizes skills in a specialized area of expertise or in general knowledge of several areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting mechanics, heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning. 
• Monitors hospital levels of temperature, humidity, steam pressure, and other critical check points. 
• Makes adjustments to correct abnormal conditions. 
• Repairs normal hospital equipment such as tables, chairs, and other items used for patient care.
• Ensures all inspections are current for assigned preventative maintenance schedules.
• Documents all request for maintenance services.
• Understands and demonstrates proficiency in the operation of all physical plant equipment.

Schedule:

• PRN; varied schedule

General Requirements:

• Must be able to maintain, repair and replace existing utility systems and write up material specifications for projects. 
• Mechanical aptitude and proven ability to use hand and power tools, to work on ladders at various heights, and demonstrate a safety-conscious attitude. 
• Ability to operate large vehicles, tractors, plows, and various lawn equipment. 
• Must have valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner and have the ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
• Ability and willing to work in a variety of environments, including office settings, classrooms, laboratories, mechanical rooms, service tunnels, and outside areas. 

Education:

• High School diploma or GED required.
