POSITION PURPOSE
The Nurse Supervisor provides clinical supervision and coordinates unit operations under the direction of the Nurse manager.
Supporting the Nursing Resource Pool, Rapid Response and Central Staffing (representing 162 colleagues).
Full-Time benefited position scheduled 40 hours per week. Scheduled primarily on the evening shift. (five 8-hour shifts M - F).
No Weekends, No Holidays, No Call.
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree required
Licensure/Certification: RN License in State of Michigan required
Certification: BLS required
Experience:
Three to five years of acute care nursing for similar patient population.
Previous proven experience and expertise in clinical area including involvement in direct patient care, supervising staff, and problem solving of unit or organizational issues.
Previous supervisory experience is desirable.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provides clinical leadership and serves as a resource to nursing staff, ensuring consistent application of the nursing process.
Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to identify and resolve operational and clinical challenges using data-driven analysis.
Supports staffing and budget planning, performance management, and staff development initiatives.
Ensures compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards, contributing to survey readiness and quality improvement.
Fosters effective interdisciplinary relationships and demonstrates sound judgment in urgent or complex situations.
