House of Mercy is seeking licensed mental health therapists to serve children in outpatient mental health and children of mothers in our residential substance use program. House of Mercy uses evidenced-based practices to provide high-quality, personalized care for each client. Since opening in 1988, House of Mercy has dedicated itself to making the community a healthier place by providing quality substance use disorder treatment and mental health programs to individuals and families in need of these services. Together with our clients, we help them create a healthy lifestyle and sense of personal self-worth and well-being.
Applicant Qualities:
We are looking for candidates who: want to contribute to a culture that is supportive of boundaries and work/life balance (we understand that being a therapist isn't your only identify); possess a passion for serving children along with their families with sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics; have a desire to meet clients where they are through a trauma-informed, person-centered approach; and can maintain a high standard of courtesy, cooperation and professionalism when collaborating with members of clients’ interdisciplinary teams.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· Master’s Degree in a human services related discipline from an accredited program, required.
· Temporary or Independent license to provide mental health therapy in the State of Iowa- tLMHC, tLMFT, LMSW, LMHC, LISW, LMFT
· Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within first 30 days of employment.
