About the job:
As a Registered Nurse at Saint Joseph Health System, you are responsible for implementing, directing, communicating, and documenting the nursing process in accordance with current established standards of care and the Indiana Nurse Practice Act. Our RNs are patient advocates who provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues. 

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program.

  • Licensure: RN Indiana License.

  • Experience:  Five years of experience in the management of cardiac patients, with at least three years of clinical experience in a hospital environment. Strong cardiovascular clinical background with a comprehensive understanding of structural heart anomalies and treatments of, including but not limited to the following: valvular heart disease, aortic aneurysms, ASD/PFO, left ventricular aneurysm, left atrial appendage occlusion, and ventricular septal defects preferred.

Other Job Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent physician relations skills. Strong consensus-building, independent problem solving, clinical expertise and judgment in the management and treatment of structural heart conditions. Self-directed, results-oriented. Strong knowledge of information technologies and software. Proficient use of electronic medical record system. Familiarity with standard desktop and windows based computer system, including email, e-learning, and intranet and computer navigation. Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions. Assigned hours within your shift, starting time, or days of work are subject to change based on departmental and/or organizational needs.
