Description:

Mostly weekends but weekdays too

Position Purpose

Receives, checks and stocks all incoming supplies.  Inventories, puts up and distributes supplies, equipment, and mail

What you will do

  • Properly identify and mark all patient charge items using stickers or cards

  • Deliver medical surgical supplies, on demand supplies and STATs as assigned

  • Keep accurate records on all storeroom transactions for which he/she may be responsible

  • Accurately inventory all assigned areas and commodities to maintain established par levels

  • Monitor supplies in various nursing departments

  • Ensure rotation of stock in all assigned departments and the storeroom

  • Transport supplies, mail etc. between and within both facilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school or GED equivalent for regularly scheduled positions

  • One year storeroom or related experience

  • Must be able to communicate in English

  • Ability to operate all appropriate material handling equipment and use, or learn to use, the department's computerized system

Position Highlights and Benefits

  • Per diem, current needs are up to 40hrs days shift, including weekends
