Description:

Come join our Respiratory team at Saint Francis Hospital, a part of Trinity Health Of New England!

Position Purpose

Responsible for the general maintenance inclusive of disinfection, packaging and processing of all respiratory equipment, designed for use for patients of all age groups.

What you will do

  • Clean, decontaminate, and prepare all non-disposable equipment used by the department (including disassembling, washing, drying, packaging, performance assurance control, etc.)

  • Notify supervisor of need to re-order supplies or send equipment out for repair or service

  • Maintain stock of equipment, both non-disposable and disposable

  • Refill all cylinder bank locations, referring any cylinder or regulator shortage problems to respiratory care supervisor

  • Perform periodic preventive maintenance and calibration procedures as directed

  • Test all equipment to ensure proper functioning prior to distribution to patient care areas

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience with Respiratory Care department equipment strongly desired
