DIETARY AIDE
Location: LIFE at St Francis Riverfront, Wilmington, DE
Status: Full time
Shift: Mon to Fri, 7 am to 330 pm, no nights/weekends
Position Purpose:
The Dietary Aide assists the Dietary Supervisor in daily food service duties at an adult day health center. Responsibilities include meal preparation, kitchen and dining area setup, and maintaining cleanliness.
What you will do:
Prepare food following sanitary regulations and company policies.
Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining rooms.
Maintain cleanliness of the serving kitchen and equipment.
Perform scheduled cleaning duties.
Assist in preparing and serving nutritional supplements and snacks.
Maintain good working rapport with all staff.
Manage inventory and restock supplies.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
One (1) year of food preparation experience in healthcare setting preferred.
One (1) year of experience with frail or elderly populations or appropriate training onsite upon hiring.
ServSafe Certification (within 3 months of employment).
Excellent communication, conflict management, customer service, organizational and problem solving skills.
Ability to change and be flexible with work priorities.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic email/calendar systems.
