The Compensation manager is responsible for the administration of AAMC’s Compensation Program. The Compensation manager plans, develops, and implements compensation initiatives, policies, and procedures that help the AAMC attract, engage, and retain high-quality employees and in turn achieve the organization's goals. This position is responsible for ensuring that AAMC’s compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. Critical to AAMC’s compensation strategy, this role will drive change and influence decision making through a balanced mix of data and talent driven metrics.
Compensation Program Operations:
Partners with HR team members on recruitment and talent management activities
Provides advice to HRBPs and AAMC leaders on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations
In partnership with HR Systems, manages annual merit process; Manages projects and workflow
Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and AAMC objectives
Stays up to date on market pay trends and updates to salary surveys
Prepares annual merit and performance pay recommendations
Coordinates annual preparation of individual professionals goals for the leadership team
Prepares annual Executive incentive calculations and works with HR Systems team on payouts
Working with HR Systems team as needed, ensures classification & compensation components in Workday are up to date and accurate
Job Evaluation & Market Analysis:
Perform job analysis, job description review, position evaluation, grading, and pricing to ensure internal titling, leveling and mapping within the company is consistent and salaries are competitive
Reviews and maintains organization-wide job descriptions.
Policy and Procedure Development:
Designs creative solutions to specific compensation related programs and incentive plans
Create and update compensation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Reporting and Analytics:
Prepares reports and analytics on compensation trends and metrics for management review
Prepares internal compensation reports for HR colleagues and management
Salary Data & Surveys:
Participates in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure AAMC’s compensation objectives are achieved
Prepares data for and participates in multiple national surveys
Develop, recommend, monitor and maintain salary structures and grading system
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
8 - 10 years of related work experience
1-3 years of experience managing a specialized program
Majority of work experience in job classification/compensation.
Experience with position descriptions, job leveling and market pay matching.
Must have experience with Salary.Com, CompAnalyst and JobArchitect
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Aon Radford, Mercer and Willis Towers Watson salary data and job levels Proficient with Workday
Certifications:
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
SHRM or HRCI certifications preferred
Advanced Level Microsoft Excel skills

This position may be eligible for remote work.Compensation Grade Range
$124,950.00-$147,000.00Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors may include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, as well as internal equity, market, and business considerations.
If a bachelor’s degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions. One year of college course work at an accredited institution is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
