Job Summary

Responsible for developing, providing and coordinating direct staff education, indirect patient education, orientation training and development of individual learning plans and monitoring of staff knowledge and quality. Working closely with physicians to ensure all protocols are current and magnet QA is at highest level.

Job Description

Schedule: Monday-Friday mainly day shift some evening/nights as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associate's Degree - Graduate of School of Radiologic Technology.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Registered in specialty modality (ARRT, ARDMS, NMTCB).

  • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.

  • ARRT Certification.

  • BLS - American Heart Association.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • Five or more (5+) years experience as a staff technologist in imaging including diagnostic radiology, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

  • Knowledge, skills and experience in designing and delivering job-related learning activities in a clinical setting.

  • Knowledge, skills and experience in process improvement strategies and service excellence.

  • Viewed as a “leader” in current specialty.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Identifies training opportunities and conducts in-depth needs assessment/analysis.

  • Plans, develops, implements, coordinates and executes education programs and interacts with staff to ensure needs are met.

  • Serves as resource person in areas(s) of expertise.

  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as a mentor and resource to less experienced staff/students.

  • Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.
