Job Description:

Axcelis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op to support our Operations Technology team in business system integration, custom applications, and operational analysis and optimization. This role offers hands-on experience at the intersection of manufacturing, technology, and data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate is an engineering student with software experience in who is eager to apply their skills in a manufacturing and operations-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and maintaining ERP integrations with manufacturing systems.
• Support the development of custom applications to streamline operations.
• Analyze operational data and contribute to process optimization initiatives.
• Work closely with engineering, production, and IT teams to solve real-world manufacturing challenges.
• Document findings and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in industrial or computer engineering or a related field.
• Interest in manufacturing operations, process improvement, and technology integration.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
• Experience with databases (SQL).

• Familiarity with REST APIs and ERP systems.
• Understanding of data visualization and analysis techniques.

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE

This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.

Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on

multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work

location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as

you develop within the role.

Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the

Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular

employees working 20+ hours a week).
