As the Executive Director, you lead hospice operations and ensure patients receive exceptional care in the place they feel most at home. You will guide teams, shape strategy, and drive quality outcomes across your market.

How You’ll Lead

  • Provide operational and clinical leadership across hospice services

  • Ensure quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and patient & employee satisfaction

  • Oversee program operations, staffing, and growth across all service areas

  • Support new partnership development and market expansion

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop clinical leadership; indirectly guide field and support teams

Quality & Outcomes

  • Monitor utilization, performance metrics, and geographic trends

  • Achieve targeted results aligned with company mission and vision

Operational Excellence

  • Meet/exceed quality indicators

  • Assist in forecasting staffing needs for current and future hospice operations

Customer Experience

  • Partner with clinical leaders to maintain high patient and employee satisfaction

Policies & Compliance

  • Oversee policy implementation, documentation standards, and regulatory compliance

Collaboration & Community Presence

  • Work closely with VP of Hospice, Clinical Manager, and JV partners

  • Maintain community and referral relationships (up to 40% of the time) to support growth

Skills You Bring

  • Strong, clear communication

  • Ability to solve problems with sound judgment

  • Builds positive relationships across all levels

  • Excellent attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 3–5 years supervisory/administrative experience in hospice or home health preferred

  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and State/Federal hospice regulations

  • Experience with HCHB, ADP, Microsoft Office, and mobile technology preferred

  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance

  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role
