Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM, No weekends, no holidays.
Territory: Birmingham, Franklin, Southfield, Pontiac, Rochester, and surrounding areas

Care and compassion are at the heart of what you'll do as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA). You'll be part of an interdisciplinary team focused on providing compassionate, high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for your patient population.
You’ll provide home-based therapy as directed by the attending physician and follow treatment plans and goals established by the Occupational Therapist. You’ll interact with patients and their families while experiencing the rewarding privilege of supporting every step of their recovery journey. Provide comprehensive skilled services as ordered by the attending physician
Follow care plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
Educate patients and family members while ensuring patient safety
Maintain accurate documentation and remain compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements
Plan of Care
Provide skilled occupational therapy as ordered by the attending physician
Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the Occupational Therapist
Minimize Patient Risk
Assess functional limitations and provide appropriate interventions
Work collaboratively with the Occupational Therapist to improve patient outcomes
Family Educator / Advocate
Educate patients and families on conditions and therapy plans
Instruct on proper use of assistive equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, braces, etc.)
Policies & Documentation
Complete all clinical documentation per agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines
Rules & Regulations
Follow all agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Communicate schedule or availability changes to appropriate staff
Operations
Attend in-service trainings and mandatory agency meetings
Compassionate communicator with a positive attitude
Patience when working with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
Observant and responsive to patient needs
Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) with a current license in the state of employment
Minimum of one year of experience as an OTA in an acute care setting (required)
Home care experience preferred
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance (must be listed driver)
Ability to meet all physical demands of the role
