Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to perform janitorial duties in order to maintain the physical appearance of the interior and exterior facilities either owned or under the control of Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

Cleans designated facilities depending on assigned locations, which include the following:

• Collects and removes all trash cans from trash daily and replaces liners

• Dusts
• Vacuums
• Sweeps
• Wash Windows
• Cuts Grass and Trims Hedges (if necessary)
• Strips and Waxes Floors
• Cleans Air Vents
• Cleans light fixtures
• Performs minor plumbing repairs, such as unstops clogged sinks, drains or toilets

Cleans restrooms including:

• Disinfects and Deodorizes
• Replenishes toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels twice daily
• Collects and removes all trash cans from trash daily and replaces liners
• Cleans mirrors, sinks, toilets and urinals
• Sweeps
• Mops

Cleans grounds around entire facility

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Be knowledgeable of and comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as Other duties as assigned by management.

Preferred Education / Experience / Knowledge & Skills / Certifications & License

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of specific use of broom, mop, vacuum, buffer, stripping machine, lawn mower, hedge trimmer and cleaning chemicals is preferred.
