Job Summary

The Commercial Loan Operations Production Support Specialist is responsible for providing operational system support and acting as the primary liaison between the commercial loan operations team and IT. This role ensures loan servicing systems function effectively, data integrity is maintained across platforms (including the general ledger), and production issues are quickly resolved. The specialist plays a critical role in coordinating system testing, reconciliations, issue tracking, and user support to ensure the ongoing health of loan operations technology.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as the operations point of contact for system-related issues, enhancements, and coordination with IT support teams.
• Monitor the performance of the commercial loan servicing platform and related integrations (e.g., general ledger, payment systems).
• Investigate and resolve system production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations and compliance with SLAs..  
• Collaborate with Accounting to validate general ledger reconciliations tied to loan transactions, funding, interest accruals, and payments.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements, upgrades, patches, or new implementations.
• Support the development and execution of test scripts, use cases, and defect tracking documentation.
• Collaborate with operations teams to identify workflow issues and recommend system-based solutions or configuration changes.
• Assist in documenting system processes, operational impacts, and exception handling procedures.
• Participate in change control processes and support IT in prioritizing business-impacting production issues.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, data quality standards, and audit readiness related to loan system activity.

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
• Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings.  Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

• HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent
• Minimum experience required: 4+ Years experience in a large commercial bank or related financial institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) (Add applicable additional detail i.e. field of study preferred or equivalent work experience if applicable)
• Experience supporting system testing, issue tracking, or user support functions in a financial institution.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.

Job Competencies:

• Thorough knowledge of Commercial Loan servicing
• Familiarity with commercial loan servicing systems (e.g., AFSVision, ACBS, nCino, LoanIQ) and downstream system interfaces. 
• Proficient in Excel, and familiar with testing or tracking tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, ALM).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments.
• Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights. Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results.
