POSTION DESCRIPTION:  

The Alliance Theatre is seeking a friendly and professional Camp & Education Customer Support Associate to join our team for the summer season. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to drama camp and education families and assisting with day-to-day student inquiries and needs. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience working with families, and a passion for creating a positive and inclusive environment for young people. 

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound phone calls and emails from camp and education families. 

  • Provide exceptional customer service to camp and education families, addressing questions and concerns in a timely and effective manner. 

  • Communicate effectively with camp and education staff, teaching artists, and parents regarding student absences, early dismissals, carpool changes, and other day-to-day camper issues. 

  • Assist with camper and acting program registration and sales transactions, including transfers and cancellations. 

  • Provide feedback to management regarding patron experience and identify areas for improvement. 

  • Maintain accurate records of student information and communications. 

  • Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned. 

  

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Experience working with families in a customer service setting. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.). 

  • Experience with Tessitura CRM or equivalent CRM preferred. 

  • Ability to resolve conflicts with patience and professionalism. 

  • Ability to adapt to quickly changing policies, projects, and priorities.  

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  

  • Experience in a performing arts or entertainment venue preferred. 

  

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The work environment is generally moderate in noise level.  

  • Some standing, walking, bending, frequent use of hands, stooping, and light lifting (at least 25 pounds) may be required 

  • The position will involve working primarily weekdays between 7:30 am and 6 pm, Saturdays between 8am and 5pm, with 2-4 hours of weekend work required to answer camp inquiries.
