SUMMARY

The person holding this position will be responsible for managing the integration of software that will be developed for First Acceptance’s insurance systems. This includes a team of developers responsible for Web and Portal processes communicating with the rating and insurance systems. This person will assist various departments in the creation of business specifications and for implementing these specifications. He/she will assist in training new employees that are hired for the Web/Portal integration team. He/she will also take some of the coding load off of the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Training new team members to use the system and procedures.
  • Inspire and lead the team of developers by creating a collaborative environment where innovation is celebrated.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to design and verify business specifications.
  •  Code the specifications of business specifications.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Institutional knowledge of the current system in operation.
  • Institutional knowledge of current procedures and how they apply to the computer system.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in development with experience in RPGLE.
  • Attention to detail and analytical.
  • Collaborative mindset.
