Summary
**This is a temporary role**
The Telemedicine Patient Registration Associate will assist in registering patients.
Description
- Patient electronic check-in: Collect patient demographic information from Telemedicine EHR and create/validate matching chart in practice management EHR for claims billing
- Insurance verification: Using practice management EHR, verify patient’s insurance eligibility at time of service
- Payment posting: Credit patient accounts with Telemedicine visit-related monies received
- Data entry: Input patient data into EHR with a high degree of accuracy
- Data verification: Review and approve patient documents moved across an EHR interface in accordance with Department policies and procedures
- Teamwork: Operate within the Telemedicine administrative team to assist with a catch-up project and to ensure timeliness of patient registrations until end of this role’s duration
Qualifications
- Work with limited supervision: As this is a fully remote role, the ability to manage workload, be an effective communicator, and make deadlines is required
- Technical skills: Ability to use computers and various software programs for data entry
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours may be necessary depending on workload
- Attention to detail: High degree of accuracy is needed for data entry
