Position Overview
Southwood Gardens/Square is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, safety, and cleanliness of our residential community. This role includes both maintenance and janitorial responsibilities, ensuring a well-maintained and welcoming environment for residents and guests.
On-Call Requirement
This position requires 24/7 on-call availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to respond to maintenance emergencies as needed. Monthly mobile phone allowance is provided.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems
Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of interior and exterior common areas
Complete minor carpentry, painting, appliance repairs, and general maintenance tasks
Support janitorial duties as needed to maintain a clean and safe environment
Manage maintenance supplies, inventory, and documentation of work orders
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies
Provide support and guidance to junior maintenance staff when applicable
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred
Minimum 5 years of residential or apartment maintenance experience required
Strong skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
Ability to perform janitorial and grounds maintenance duties as needed
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
HVAC, OSHA, or related certifications a plus
Valid driver’s license required
