We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage and process weekly payroll for a growing organization. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, and supporting compliance with applicable wage and hour regulations.
Responsibilities:
Process weekly payroll for employees in an accurate and timely manner using Paylocity Review, audit, and validate timekeeping data, including hours worked, overtime, and deductions Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and company policies Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and compensation changes Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and pay discrepancies Reconcile payroll reports and assist with general ledger entries as needed Prepare and distribute payroll-related reports to management Support year-end processes including W-2 preparation and audits Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure alignment on employee data and payroll accuracy Qualifications:
3+ years of payroll processing experience Experience processing weekly payroll required Proficiency with Paylocity preferred but not required Strong knowledge of California payroll laws and wage & hour compliance High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Strong organizational and time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting $50,000 - $60,000 a year
