📍 Location: Agawam, MA

đź’µ Salary: $75,000-$80,000 Based on Experience

🗓️ Schedule: Full-time| Monday–Friday| 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

While the regular schedule is Monday through Friday, the Maintenance Manager should remain available for occasional after-hours emergencies or equipment malfunctions to ensure minimal production downtime.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance department and oversee safe, efficient operations across our two facilities. This role is hands-on, combining leadership, planning, and execution of maintenance programs to ensure our machinery, buildings, and grounds are properly maintained. The Maintenance Manager will supervise a team of 5 technicians, coordinate with contractors, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support production and food safety standards.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, train, and supervise the Maintenance team, assigning tasks and managing performance.
  • Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance of machinery, boilers, refrigeration, compressors, kettles, HVAC, and other equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with SQF, FSMA, OSHA, and food safety regulations.
  • Manage the PIP/Work Order system, ensuring timely scheduling and completion.
  • Coordinate repairs, replacements, plant improvements, and contract labor.
  • Partner with the Quality team to address non-conforming work orders impacting food safety.
  • Monitor energy costs and budgets, ensuring cost-conscious operations.
  • Oversee building systems including plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, and exterior grounds.
  • Manage capital projects, equipment procurement, and operating permits.
  • Maintain and enforce safety procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out, inspections, and audits.
  • Act as the primary liaison with outside vendors and technical representatives.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance duties as needed.

What You’ll Need:

  • Associate’s Degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a maintenance role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, preventative maintenance, and facility systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and solve problems proactively.
  • Strong leadership, delegation, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Pay Range

USD $75,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
