Overview

The Engineering Designer partners with engineers and cross-functional teams to create and refine mechanical designs, 3D models, and engineering drawings. This role supports production, product development, and manufacturing operations, turning conceptual ideas into manufacturable components and assemblies that meet performance standards. Occasional customer visits may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, and maintain 2D/3D CAD models and mechanical drawings (SolidWorks preferred)
• Support production, R&D, and new product development projects
• Collaborate with engineers on FEA/CFD analysis
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, engineering changes, and technical documentation
• Assist Marketing with sales models and materials
• Attend internal and customer meetings; present design updates
• Support field visits, assembly check-outs, and shop-floor inquiries

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2+ year mechanical design program
• Proficient in 3D CAD; SolidWorks preferred
• Knowledge of machining, welding, fabrication, GD&T, and drafting standards
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
• Experience supporting customers or field-based projects a plus
• Willing to travel occasionally as needed
