Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Clinic – Family Care & Endocrinology

As an LPN, you will be responsible for rooming patients, administering medication, vaccines and tests (flu, strep, Covid, urine, etc.), assisting with annual physicals and managing the in-baskets. You will float between two family care departments and one endocrinology department.
A caregiver in this position works 9:45AM – 6:15PM with the potential to cover earlier shifts if needed.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide professional nursing care to patients.
Administer medication.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files.
Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
Follow Code Blue protocol.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Knowledge of infection control practices.
Experience with technology.
Computer literacy.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
One year of clinical experience.
