As the MGA Insurance Chief Architect, you will be responsible for shaping the technology vision and architecture strategy for the MGA insurance space. In this strategic role, you will work closely with business unit leaders to guide complex initiatives across the insurance and reinsurance domains, delivering scalable solutions that meet business regulatory and customer expectations. This role combines deep insurance industry knowledge with new technology expertise to drive innovation and business value.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Define and execute enterprise architecture strategies aligned with business goals
  • Lead technical assessments and solution design workshops, evaluating current-state architectures and identifying opportunities for modernization, simplification, and innovation
  • Advise CIO, CTO and business leaders on technology modernization, regulatory compliance and emerging technology
  • Architect end-to-end insurance solutions including policy administration systems (PAS), claims, underwriting, and customer experience platforms
  • Ensure robust integration of platforms such as Vertafore, Insurity and other core insurance suites with cloud native and digital front-end ecosystems
  • Provide architecture governance across programs, supporting scalability, security and data integrity.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, cyber, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery of projects
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance to project teams to ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Mentor and develop technical talent, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and innovation within the team

Support change management and enablement efforts, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for business and technology stakeholders

Valued Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years’ experience as a Solution or Enterprise Architect, within a large, complex organization
  • 10+ years of experience in the Insurance Industry
  • Proven track record designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions—across cloud, data, cyber, and application domains.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and modern technology stacks (cloud, AI, automation, cyber).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex technical environments and architect scalable solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences and influencing senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive technical change in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
