  • UT Health Jacksonville features 33 operational beds, an ICU, a 24-hour ED designated as a Level IV trauma center, a maternity unit, advanced diagnostic technology, surgical suites, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and a UT Health East Texas Olympic Center fitness and rehabilitation facility.

Responsibilities

  • The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame.  
  • Function as a Surgery Circulator RN in a fast-paced surgical environment

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure patient safety and procedural success

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care using the nursing process

  • Ensure all necessary surgical equipment and supplies are prepared and available

  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency procedures and after-hours cases

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Must maintain current Texas RN License
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certified (within 90 days of hire)
  • Must participate in an on-call rotation

  • Must reside within a 30-mile radius of the facility (to meet required response time for call shifts)

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • PACU, ICU, ER, or other acceptable acute care experience. #LI-KM1
