Job Description

Job Summary:

As a system manager you are responsible for operations and maintenance of systems utilized to enable business.

 

You act as a point of contact and escalation for the system(s) you are managing.

Furthermore, you need to ensure that the most appropriate level of service are supplied to meet future business needs.

 

It is expected from you to drive smaller deployment or upgrade projects as well as participate in a larger IT and compliance projects.

As a Sr IT application Specialist I you are having administrative rights to the following systems: Workday

 

Key Duties

  • Manage the expectations of LoB, customers and users concerning the use of the IT systems.
  • Provide a single point of contact, liaison and escalation for the IT systems.
  • Ensure that the most appropriate levels of service are supplied to meet future business needs.
  • Produce system specific reports with corrective actions if applicable, that are subsequently reviewed with the relevant customers.
  • Monitor and evaluate the need for upgrades and increased capacity.
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of system documentation and instructions.
  • Identify & manage implementation of new requirements to existing IT systems and services.
  • Facilitate risk management work in cooperation with stakeholders and department manager
  • Able to support audits and inspections.
  • Write system documentation for GxP critical IT systems. Test IT requirements for GxP critical IT systems.
  • Drive small development, upgrade projects and secure operation management is considered in projects.
  • Drive own optimization projects and projects in cooperation with vendor.
  • Follow-up on vendor deliveries and services according to agreement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Msc or B.Sc within computer science, business administration, engineering

    or similar.

  • 8 years of experience with managing systems, preferably within the

    pharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience IT Projects and administration of IT systems, and governance of

    the systems

  • Understanding and knowledge of GAMP

    Personal skills: Quality minded, structured with strong analytical skills,

    strong networking and interpersonal skills, high sense of responsibility

  • Good knowledge of IT system management terminology and concepts.

Accountability & Impact

  • Responsible for daily operational tasks within system management as awell as of small sized projects. No budgetary accountabilities. with internal customers/stakeholders. Must seek approval for procurements, process and technology changes, and task prioritizations.

  • Follow procedures and work instructions for high-risk tasks. The resource will work closely with other IT peers.

    Impact will primarily be end-user satisfaction but also overall system availability and functionality.

  • Expected to resolve basic issues and understand further path forward for resolution on system related challenges, but

    may need assistance from peers/management and other teams for complete resolution. The role must have strong analytical and methodical approach

    to troubleshooting/investigation and capable of presenting issues and possible solutions for decision
