Overview

 

Provides medical oversight and direction to promote quality of care and appropriate resource utilization for all Oncology Services. Provide medical leadership by building a strong dyad relationship with the Vice President of Oncology Services, and working collaboratively to produce a high performing Oncology Service Line that delivers exceptional quality of care.

 

The Medical Director of the Cancer Center is responsible for leading the Center’s growth and strategic expansion. This role includes providing administrative leadership, supervision, and other duties as reasonably required and determined by the COO and/or CHMG President to support the development, operations, and continued success of the Cancer Center. The Medical Director will ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality patient care and will maintain ultimate accountability for the proper execution of these responsibilities.

• Medical Oncologists
• Radiation Oncologists
• Advanced Practice Providers
• Gynecologic Oncologists
• Neuro-Oncologists
• Medical Directors of Subspecialty Oncology Programs

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:Masters, MBA, MHA preferred, in addition to MD or DO degreeMD or DO degree required

 

EXPERIENCE:Required:5+ years in a Medical Director or Chief of Oncology role or 7+ combined years in Oncology as a Physician Administrator, Practice President, Physician Executive or Medical Director roles.Preferred:10+ years in an Medical Director of Chief of Oncology role

 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIREDMD | PhysicianCurrent North Carolina license to practice medicine. Board certified in area of specialty.PREFERRED
