Overview
This position is for a Desktop Technician to provide hands-on technical support for end-user computing environments in a secure defense setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware and software troubleshooting, experience working in classified environments, and a commitment to excellence and security.
This is a full on-premise position located in Groton, CT.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering or Software Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in desktop or IT support, preferably in a DoD or federal environment.
Preferred:
- Relevant certifications: Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator, CompTIA Security+, ITIL Foundation, or JAMF Certified.
- Familiarity with Intune, SCCM, PowerShell scripting, Group Policy management and engineering experience
- Experience working in ITIL or service management environments.
Skills
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and remote support tools.
- Maintain accurate records of assets, tickets, and system documentation.
- Experience with incident and problem management systems
- Coordinate with system administrators and cybersecurity personnel for escalations and remediation.
