Get to Know Your Team:

  • Lovelace Health System includes six hospitals, 51 health care clinics and seven outpatient therapy clinics, with 619 inpatient beds and employs a team of more than 3,400, including more than 263 health care providers. 
  • The Critical Care RN will float between Lovelace facilities:  Lovelace Medical Center, Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital, Heart Hospital of New Mexico, Lovelace Women’s Hospital and Lovelace Westside Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, to include patient care and staff management assigned to the RN in his/her charge.
  • May serve in the role of Charge Nurse and is accountable for professional practice.
  • Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing 
  • Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • DEPARTMENT MAY ALSO REQUIRE ACLS and or PALS

Preferred Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • 2 years experience in specialty
  • 2 years general nursing experience.

Preferred Experience with:

  • Vasoactive and Sedative Drips
  • Central Lines
  • A-lines
  • EKG interpretation
  • CRRT knowledge/skills
  • Ventilator experience / ABG interpretation
