Responsible for the visionary leadership and strategic planning of the system's Enterprise Pharmacy assuring deployment within the system's operations and new business opportunities.Assures delivery of high value service standards in operations including business and clinical program development, quality improvement, patient satisfaction and program operations.Assures the mission, goals and values of the system are maintained within Enterprise Pharmacy operations and aligned with pharmacy initiatives.Ensures that pharmacy operations are compliant with all regulatory and accreditation standards.Direct accountability for delivery of innovative pharmacy solutions that supports high quality and cost-effective health care within system's core programs as well as expanding these services to new business opportunities.Leads research and development for new pharmacy delivery models that operationally integrate into System initiatives that align payment with high quality, cost effective care.Establishes a working matrix relationship and effective communication with institute and service line leaders, system leadership, medical staff, and other outside associations.Recruits, selects and retains highly qualified professionals.Leads a motivated, productive and highly skilled team through open communication and delegation of responsibilities and authority.Guides and supports direct reports in their personal and professional development.Responsible for the effective financial management of the Enterprise Pharmacy.Fosters and promotes a positive work environment focused on high quality care and built on the principles of teamwork, respect, collaboration and communication; supports personal growth, the development of people and employee engagement.Serves as part of the leadership team responsible for health plan functions including pharmacy benefit management oversight, network strategy, benefit design, business development, contracting, quality management and clinical programs.Provides report out of pharmacy initiatives to executive leadership and promotes internal services to leaders.Provides leadership for and personally demonstrates Cone Health values of caring for our patients, our coworkers and our community. Keeps what is best for the patient at the center of all decision making.
EDUCATION:Required - Baccalaureate in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Appropriate advanced degree required.
EXPERIENCE:Required - A minimum of five (5) years of progressive hospital pharmacy management experience.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIREDRequired - Eligible for pharmacy licensure in the State of North Carolina. NC Board of Pharmacy licensure must be obtained within three (3) months of hire date.PREFERRED
