Overview
The Financial Planning Manager for Tabacalera USA will be responsible for providing forecasting and analytical support to the Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. This role will be required to assist the accounting team with preparing financial statements including cash flows and forecasts in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Report on financial performance of all business entities and prepare status report presentations regularly for leadership review
- Analyze financial data and create financial models
- Work closely with accounting team to ensure accurate data and reporting
- Consolidate and analyze financial data, with respect to the company’s goals and overall financial standing
- Improve company’s financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and making recommendations
- Assist the Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis with Quarterly Forecast preparation, and monthly internal and external reporting
- Prepare Business Plan (BP) with guidance from Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and help business units and functions track expenses
- Provide monthly information and comparison of previous year expenses, BP and forecast
- Improve financial analysis with a focus on sales volume and gross margin trends
- Control investment projects and report capital expenditure, anticipating potential cash flow impact
- Other departmental tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years’ experience in financial analysis, budgeting and/or planning
- Strong work ethic, ability to multitask and work independently to meet expedited deadlines
- Strong fluency with MS Excel, formulas, and functions
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases and financial software applications
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills
- Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills
- Knowledge of Netsuite or VAI enterprise preferred
- Must be comfortable working in a smoking enviornment
