Overview

Electrical Technician: Working with the Hot Mill Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, Electrical Lead, and Shift Electricians to ensure the effective maintenance and optimization of electrical systems, with a primary focus on safety and operational reliability.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the installation and optimization of both new installations and current equipment
• Assist with Troubleshooting and repair of current systems. § Maintain general housekeeping standards.
• Verify monitoring equipment
• Assist in calibrations
• Support in crane troubleshooting and repairs
• Work with Level 1 Engineer on HMIs/PLCs/Drives
• Understand and follow safety protocols, including:
• · Red Zone · 20-foot Rule · Cardinal Safety Rules · Electrical Safety practice

Helpful: 

• Familiarity with hydraulic systems 
• Experience with overhead cranes 
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming
• Understanding of mobile equipment

Required:

• Proven commitment to safety and attendance
• Electrical maintenance experience
• Basic computer proficiency
• Self-Motivated and initiative
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Positive and team-oriented attitude
