Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. The Unified Communication Lead, located in the Honolulu, HI area, will serve as a Computer Network expert overseeing multi-disciplinary projects related to network architecture sustainment and modernization, network engineering and design, Audio-Visual (AV), Video Teleconferencing (VTC), and Unified Communications (UC). The UC Lead is responsible for managing and integrating AV, network technologies in support of mission-critical operations, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving innovation to enhance the performance and reliability of AV, VTC, UC, and network systems.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading a highly skilled and motivated team of engineers, system administrators, and AV programmers.
- Apply DoD Information Assurance (IA) policies and guidelines to network architecture design, configuration, and implementation.
- Direct and execute Audio-Visual (AV) programming at intermediate to advanced levels of complexity Manage and integrate AV, computer networks, VTC, and UC technologies in support of mission-critical operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across AV, VTC, UC, and network systems.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation to enhance the performance and reliability of organizational communications infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ‘Advanced Technical Expertise’ or certification in accordance with DoD 8140.03.
- Possess a Secret clearance.
- Avixa Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or equivalent AV certification (e.g., Extron AV Associate, Harman Professional Training, AMX Certified Expert (ACE)).
- 10 years of experience in network engineering and implementing multi-disciplinary projects, designing local, regional, WAN, and network systems and subsystems supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information.
- 3 Years of hands-on experience with DoD networks
- 5 Years of experience with Audio Visual Programming
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $129,800.00/Yr. - USD $216,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
