The Role

 

The Wet Lab Supervisor will supervise and coordinate all CMP wet lab and CMP pilot plant activities.  Oversee all slurry preparation, testing and data completion for test plans and necessary customer samples. Collaborate with CMP applications lab supervisor on all aspects of test plans, compliance issues, supplies and inventories, and team development.

Job Description

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Supervise Wet Lab Technicians and Chemists on boarding, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensures that all test plans are executed timely and correctly by assigning and training technicians according to priority and skillsets.
  • Perform first level troubleshooting exercise on processing and metrology equipment.
  • Document, track and communicate test plan status to the technical group.
  • Maintain laboratory good housekeeping for safety and neatness.
  • Maintain and run the lab in compliance with all laws and EHS regulations.
  • Supervise laboratory daily operations, ensuring procedures are properly executed and timelines are met.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is functioning properly. SOP and PM documentation for all tools. Create and maintain a database for Standard Operation Procedures and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure availability of lab and safety supply inventory.
  • Ensure proper stock of chemicals is maintained.
  • Support management, scientists and engineers in achieving their business and performance goals by meeting project goals and deadlines.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS degree in chemistry or related disciplines
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a production Laboratory or R&D Laboratory Environment
  • Previous supervisory experience in a laboratory environment preferred
  • Experience using in analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, LC-MS, Particle Counting preferred
  • Experience in analytical method development, documentation, and chemical literature preferred
  • Project management experience required
  • Experience communicating with vendors and suppliers
  • Experience with particle modification preferred
  • Well organized
  • Ability to understand project goals and work with people
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent safety, work performance and attendance record
  • Experience in operating CMP metrology (Resmap) and wafer handling preferred
