Title: Registered Dietitian (RDN)

 

Location: HealthWorks Rehab & Fitness in Morgantown, WV

 

 

Status: STEADY Part Time 

 

Schedule: Weekdays 8AM - 4PM (3 days)

 

Compensation: starting at $40/Hr.

 

 

 

HealthWorks in Morgantown WV is seeking local part time registered and licensed dietitians. The licensed and registered dietitian will work 2-3 days per week (8-4p p.m.), providing nutritional and weight management counseling to our clients 1:1. You will serve our Marion, Monongalia, and Taylor county communities.

 

 

You will be required to attend training sessions to work with the Public Employee Insurance (WV- PEIA) clients as a registered and licensed dietitian. The Registered Dietitian position involves a willingness to plan, organize, direct and evaluate all phases of patient nutritional care, including patient diet therapy and education and, a willingness to educate other personnel.

 

 

You must have a Baccalaureate degree with major studies in food and nutrition. You must be a registered member of the American Dietetic Association and licensed by the State of West Virginia to be considered.

 

 

New graduates are welcome to apply. This is a steady part time position, three days per week 8A-4P. We can discuss days that meet your availability and the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures clients nutrition label program meets quality standards via audit samples
  • Reports audits in an organized fashion
  • Collaborates with team on the ongoing needs of the nutrition labeling program
  • Participates in corporate wellness events.
  • Edits and creates nutrition education.
  • Presents on various nutrition topics.
  • Participates in informational tabling that incorporate monthly themes. Leads support groups and workshops
  • Plans appropriate diets and menus to meet the needs of individuals whose medical condition can be treated or controlled using diet therapy.
  • Determines if follow-up appointment is needed, based on patient’s motivation and comprehension of education session.
  • Conducts nutrition education classes if demand exists (diabetes classes, weight management).
  • Serves as a community resource to clients.      
  • Monitors and responds to phone and e-mail messages promptly.
  • Enters nutrition notes promptly when assessment is completed.
  • Maintains patient, employee and computer data safety and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and counseling skills
  • Training in Motivational Interviewing
  • Time management, punctuality, and organizational skills a must
  • Personable, compassionate, friendly, responsible and hard working
  • Must be able to work independently as well as be team oriented
  • Computer skills (Apple & Microsoft Office)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school with a degree in nutrition, Bachelor’s required
  • Active, current valid license in the state in which the clinic is located.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills
  • 2 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
