Job Summary and Responsibilities

We're looking for a dedicated Diet Clerk to join our dynamic Nutrition Services team. This isn't just about processing orders; it's about being the vital link between our patients' dietary needs and their well-being.

 

As a Diet Clerk, you'll be at the heart of our patients' nutritional care, ensuring they receive the right meals to support their recovery and comfort. You'll be:

 

  • Engaging directly with patients (or their families) to understand their preferences, allergies, and dietary restrictions, making mealtime a more personalized and positive experience.
  • Translating complex dietary orders into actionable meal plans, ensuring accuracy that directly impacts patient health. 
  • Seamlessly bridging the gap between nursing staff, dietitians, and our culinary team, making sure everyone is on the same page about patient needs
  • Managing meal orders, special requests, and dietary changes with precision, using our state-of-the-art systems.
  • Contributing daily to a high-quality food service operation that is essential to patient recovery and satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • College-level nutrition courses preferred. 
  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field preferred.
  • Previous 1-year kitchen experience preferred.
  • Previous Clinical Nutrition office experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
