THE ROLE:
Drive the responsibility for Graphics Systems support and enablement at System level with focus on Software for worldwide AMD Embedded customers. Systems are integrated combinations of hardware components (CPUs, graphics, memory, IO adapters, peripherals, and Board Management Controllers BMCs) and software components (firmware, drivers, Operating Systems, virtualization, and system management). In this role, you will interface with the AMD Field (FAE’s and Sales), Marketing, Software, Systems Engineering, and Validation teams to assist with issues reported by AMD Embedded Customers. Will work in the Graphics competency for Windows and Linux based solutions with heavier focus on Linux environment. Assist in review, bring-up and debug of software/hardware designs and will provide solutions to customers. The candidate will generate technical reports, frequently asked questions, application note, white papers, and use-case analysis relevant to AMD Embedded customers.THE PERSON:
The successful candidate must have an intimate knowledge of PC architecture, graphics architecture and related IP. The candidate must be highly motivated, innovative, and be able to work in a fast paced environment with out of the box thinking. The individual must be able to quickly analyze different customer scenarios to come up with the best approach to tackle tough or complex problems. There must be a keen interest in finding and resolving platform,system, and chip failures. This role is in an intense but rewarding environment
