Job Summary and Responsibilities
- Schedules and performs EKG’s, cardiac and Holter monitors, patient hook-ups and report generation.
- Communicate with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions, and inform physician/provider of significant patient complaints and/or arrhythmia.
- Prepare and monitor report results for interpretation by physician/provider.
- Tracks information on patient charts as needed. Documents in progress notes for patient communication.
- Escalate issues to manager or physician/provider.
- Assures correct charges and diagnosis are marked appropriately for billing.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by management or physician/provider.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required upon hire
- 1 year previous cardiology experience required
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, conductive system, and ability to interpret cardiac arrhythmias
