The Cleveland Clinic Cardiovascular Innovation Research Center (CIRC), in conjunction with the Artificial Intelligence and Informatics in Imaging and Healthcare lab (AIIIH) is seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral fellow with interest and expertise in analysis of medical imaging, radiologic reporting, and electronic health records (EHR) data. This position would be under the supervision of David Chen, PhD and Christopher Nguyen, PhD. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a commitment to research, a collaborative work ethic and strong communication skills, both written and verbal. This program is expected to be completed within 4 years.
The individual is expected to support a funded research project on democratizing cardiac magnetic resonance imaging in community health centers. The project features opportunity develop new methods to analyze vast amounts of existing cardiac imaging data and transfer these methods to a newly developed method to image the heart. The fellow will also have opportunity to work closely with clinical staff/support staff to understand translational barriers for clinical decision support. The fellow will be encouraged to develop his/her ideas and career development during the fellowship with full support from the Cleveland Clinic and the multi-disciplinary CIRC staff. Unique resources include over 50k cardiac imaging studies, opportunity to conduct both retrospective and prospective implementation studies, and a powerful GPU-enabled computational infrastructure.
