Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Level 3 Information Security Analyst to join our information security team. This role will work closely with our Senior Information Security Analyst to develop comprehensive security capabilities across the organization. The position serves as a critical escalation point for security incidents and will be instrumental in advancing our overall security posture. This role requires U.S. Citizenship.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations & Incident Response
- Serve as primary escalation point for Tier 1 and Tier 2 security analysts for complex security incidents and investigations
- Serve as primary liaison with threat intelligence officer to integrate threat intelligence findings into detection rules and security monitoring capabilities
- Support the Senior Information Security Analyst in implementing advanced security monitoring solutions and detection mechanisms
- Develop and refine incident response procedures and playbooks
Security Program Development
- Collaborate closely with Senior Information Security Analyst on security initiatives and projects
- Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures
- Participate in security assessments, vulnerability management, and risk analysis activities
- Support security architecture reviews and provide recommendations for security improvements
Technical Analysis & Investigation
- Analyze security logs, network traffic, and system activity to identify potential threats
- Assist with root cause analysis for security incidents and remediation strategies
Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with IT teams, management, and external partners on security matters
- Document security incidents, investigations, and findings with detailed technical reports
- Contribute to security metrics and reporting for leadership
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in information security or related roles
- Demonstrated experience in SOC operations and incident response
- Proven track record of handling complex security incidents and escalations
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR
- Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, etc.)
- Understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with threat detection and analysis techniques
- Understanding of common attack vectors, TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures), and the MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Experience with log analysis and correlation across multiple security tools and data sources
- Beneficial but not required: Threat hunting experience and proactive threat detection capabilities
- Beneficial but not required: Digital forensics and incident investigation skills
- Beneficial but not required: Threat intelligence analysis and integration experience
