The Role: Operations Associate, Ratings Operations (Grade 10)
The Team:
The Ratings Operations team plays a critical role in enabling effective and efficient global ratings processes while driving end-to-end process simplification. As strategic partners across Commercial, Data, Analytical, Compliance, and Technology functions, we use business knowledge and operational expertise to continuously improve processes and deliver exceptional value to our customers.
Responsibilities and Impact:
Complete key steps of the end-to-end ratings process for jobs of all complexity independently with pace and quality to meet customer needs
Lead and support change management initiatives including user acceptance testing (UAT) for system improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Serve as a global process owner for medium complexity processes, maintaining excellent understanding of end-to-end ratings procedures and standard operating procedures
Guide analysts and business partners through the ratings process, providing expertise and mentoring to ensure quality delivery
Identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead problem-solving efforts to align with ROS mission and vision while meeting customer requirements
Represent the ROS team at business partner meetings to gather feedback, communicate updates, and support workload planning initiatives
What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
4+ years of industry experience in operations, data management, or financial services environment
Demonstrated experience leading projects and driving process improvement initiatives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and make decisions in complex situations
Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to train and mentor team members
Experience working collaboratively across different organizational functions and global teams
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to various organizational roles and functions within financial services industry
Experience with change management methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks
Knowledge of ratings processes, credit analysis, or risk management practices
Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $74,000 to $98,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.
