Job Duties: Standard & Poor's Financial Services LLC seeks a Quality Engineer who will lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of comprehensive quality assurance initiatives to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of enterprise IT systems. Define, implement, and maintain quality assurance standards, best practices across all phases of the software development lifecycle and Agile Methodologies. Develop scalable and maintainable Pytest automation frameworks using the Page Object Model (POM) for comprehensive UI, API, and database testing. Seamlessly integrate automation frameworks with Microsoft Azure DevOps pipelines to enable continuous testing and deployment. Develop custom libraries and utilities to enhance automation efficiency and minimize manual testing efforts. Manage the complete defect lifecycle, including bug tracking and resolution, using Azure DevOps Boards. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to automate build, test, and deployment workflows. Design, manage, and execute test cases using Azure Test Plans to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Monitor pipeline health and analyze test execution reports to maintain system reliability and performance. Execute both automated and manual test cases for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Perform API validation using tools such as Insomnia to ensure data integrity and service reliability. Implement test-driven development (TDD) practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code. Collaborate with development teams to triage, resolve, and verify defects efficiently. Maintain detailed documentation of test strategies, test cases, automation scripts, and test results. Participate in internal and cross-team meetings, project scoping, functional reviews, test specifications, and technical reviews within an Agile environment. Review and document the impact analysis of new implementations on existing systems and develop backout plans for all performed implementations. Demonstrate proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript for test automation and tool development. Engage in code walkthrough sessions with the development team to ensure solutions align with business requirements. Design and develop automated tests across UI, service, and data layers using tools such as Python and Selenium, while performing root cause analysis to ensure comprehensive test coverage and defect resolution.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related IT field plus five (5) years of experience in software development, quality/test engineering, or a related occupation. Five (5) years of experience must include: Python and Selenium; PyCharm and Eclipse Scripting tools; Microsoft Azure DevOps CICD tool; Insomnia, Postman, and Rest Assured API service tools; Oracle Developer database tool; Agile Methodology and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); Software defect tracking tools and bug resolution processes; Software compatibility testing across various environments.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $133,062 to $139,800. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses & certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
