Summary

A registered nurse who facilitates quality patient care through utilization of resources and maintains systems and procedures which enhance staff ability to deliver quality patient care. Position consists of flexible shifts to include weekends and holidays.

3 – 5 years of related clinical experience preferred. Positive interpersonal skills. Effective organizational, teaching, and leadership skills. Visual and auditory acuity required. Able to articulate clearly and succinctly. Much standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Position may involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material.

8 South is a 37-bed Medical-surgical/Telemetry unit with step-down patients: all private rooms.

Our patients include Adult and Geriatric patients with the following diagnosis or treatments:

• Acute Respiratory Disorders
• Acute Cardiac Disorders
• Cardiac Dysrhythmia Requiring Drug Therapy/Adjustment
• Pre and Post Surgery Requiring Telemetry Monitoring
• Acute and Chronic Renal Disease
• Neurology Disorders
• Endocrinology Disorders
• Psychosocial Disorders
• Gastrointestinal Disorders
