As a People Partner in Market Intelligence, you will work globally with senior executives and leaders in Risk & Valuation Services and MI Marketing, and will manage all aspects of People planning and strategic projects for the MI PLT. This role will consult with stakeholders on shaping the people plans and priorities for their respective areas. This role will serve as an advisor on people operations as well as be responsible for executing the people agendas and driving core annual people processes in partnership with people leaders. This role will be part of a broader distributed People Team and will service our leaders in their respective time zone.

This role requires work from New York office 2 days a week or 9 days a month, with flexibility.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Provide Key Business Partnering across areas of Change Management, Organization Design, Talent and Development, Succession Planning, complex Total Reward and Employee Relations issues.
  • Provide Guidance on People Strategies to senior executives and people leaders, as well as coach and guide them to build and assimilate strong teams in the context of change.
  • Independently Oversee Execution of Core People Processes, including performance management, priority setting, career growth reviews, talent assessment and succession planning, workforce planning, reduction in force, and other ad-hoc demands driven by business needs (e.g., M&A).
  • Drive Engagement & Retention– in partnership with Regional People Partners, identify areas of opportunity to drive engagement within the business areas, as well as develop strategies and plan to mitigate attrition risk of key talent. 
  • Building Organizational Capability – Partner with COEs to identify opportunities to bring in new skills and capabilities.  Facilitate talent mobility across the enterprise focused capability building and providing development opportunities across the client teams.
  • Operational Execution of People Agenda – in partnerships with COE’s and the broader People Partner team, drive the execution of core annual processes (Engagement, Performance, Talent, etc.)
  • People Planning- Support the MI People team in integration planning for Market Intelligence (MI), managing reduction in force programs, achieving cost synergies, and overseeing leadership activities. Serve as the primary liaison between Corporate Functions and Divisional People Teams, preparing presentation materials, assisting in engagements, developing metrics, and providing thought leadership for the People agenda.
  • Strategic Projects Management-  Ensure the Global People Strategy is executed within Divisions, aligning divisional plans with enterprise goals. Act as the key contact for MI in supporting enterprise projects, partnering with SVP People, MI PLT and MI OpCo to develop key people initiatives, drive engagement, mitigate attrition risk, and manage division-specific projects like building manager capability, VIBE communication program and developing a career framework.
  • Data Analytics - Analyze People data to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to employee engagement, performance, retention, and other People metrics. Develop and maintain People dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide data-driven insights to business leaders and People stakeholders. Utilize predictive modeling and statistical techniques to forecast future People trends, such as attrition rates, talent gaps, and workforce planning.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) 

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $126,676 to $221,434 . Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. 

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Influence and Navigation: Highly skilled in influencing and navigating complex, matrixed global organizations.
  • Familiarity with US Labor Law, including solid understanding of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, hands-on experience applying these in people decisions (e.g., investigations, performance management, terminations), and demonstrated experience navigating complex ER cases in close partnership with Legal and Employee Relations COE.
  • Consulting Background: Ideally has consulting experience, preferably in HR, with some HR function experience being highly desirable.
  • Complex Environments: Demonstrable ability to work effectively in complex, matrixed environments and influence senior leaders.
  • Action-Oriented: Capable of working across teams, fostering inclusivity, overcoming resistance, and navigating complex organizations with high emotional intelligence (EQ).
  • Digital Mindset: Strong analytical and data visualization skills, able to leverage global data dashboards effectively.
  • Relationship Building: Quickly builds credibility and relationships across global teams.
  • Problem Solving: Resolves complex operational problems with strategic and innovative solutions.
  • Project Management: Aptitude for managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Communication: Advanced communication skills, simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant industry experience, 8+ years of work experience including project management, and a bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred).
  • HR Leadership: Proven experience in senior HR leadership roles, with a strong background in strategic people management and organizational development.
  • Partnership: Ability to partner effectively within a broader People Function without hierarchical constraints.
  • Industry Experience: 10+ years of relevant industry and function experience, with a preference for experience in Financial Services, Data, or Technology organizations, especially in organizational design and transformation.
