As a Research Student, you will work closely with research personnel and actively participate in a structured learning experience in the laboratory or clinical research setting. This role provides hands-on exposure to laboratory techniques, clinical environments, data collection, data analysis, and other essential research skills, offering a strong foundation for an exciting career in biomedical and/or clinical research.
A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Conduct research in the laboratories and/or clinical setting
Perform data collection and analysis.
Other duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma/GED
Current undergraduate student in an accredited college or university
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Research laboratory experience
Experience or knowledge around epilepsy
Skills or interest in media editing
Training in bioethics or related social sciences
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Ability to distinguish color.
Manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment.
Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds.
May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, bio-hazards, radioactive materials, etc.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
