Responsibilities

  • Supervise MRI Technologists in the delivery of diagnostic imaging and patient care services. 
  • Monitor staff utilization and productivity; review imaging results to ensure proper use of equipment and imaging systems. 
  • Oversee daily MRI operations, ensuring compliance with MRI safety guidelines, quality standards, internal policies, and external regulations. 
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and department performance. 
  • Train MRI Technologists on new techniques, systems, operations, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Collaborate with radiology leadership to develop strategies for operational and performance improvement. 
  • Assist management in coordinating staff development, training programs, and competency assessments.
  • Communicate regularly across departments to ensure seamless diagnostic services and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on patient care and operational improvements. 

Qualifications

Job Requirements: 

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required, and advanced certification in MRI required within two years of accepting the position.
  •  3 years of related progressive experience in a hospital setting.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
