Compensation Range

About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to lead projects using Agile methodologies, ensuring successful delivery through servant leadership, team building, and strategic execution. The IT Project Manager II facilitates Agile ceremonies, manages project schedules, budgets, and backlogs, and serves as a mentor for Agile principles and project management best practices. This role requires strong collaboration, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering results that align with customer needs and organizational goals.
Essential Functions
Manage projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer expectations
Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Kanban) including visioning, story mapping, backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, maintaining focus on purpose and objectives
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and release roadmaps, ensuring transparency and alignment across all stakeholders
Monitor and analyze Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) to identify trends, anticipate risks, and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement
Manage operational budgets for assigned projects, ensuring financial accountability and adherence to approved funding
Prepare and deliver clear, concise reporting for varying audiences, including stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while maintaining quality standards and compliance with organizational policies
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration to achieve shared objectives
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Intermediate understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and ability to apply principles across diverse projects
Intermediate knowledge of project management frameworks, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
Familiarity with project management tools such as TFS/Azure DevOps and Planview
Ability to anticipate and balance the interests of multiple stakeholders while maintaining customer focus
Skilled in managing complexity and ambiguity with a problem-solving mindset and structured approach
Demonstrated ability to consistently drive for results and deliver projects on time and within scope
Ability to hold self and others accountable for meeting commitments and achieving goals
Comfortable working in dynamic environments with evolving products and projects
Demonstrates continuous learning through experimentation and feedback, applying lessons learned to improve processes
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
4+ years of formal project management experience, preferably in Agile environments required
Agile Scrum Master Certification required
Project Management Certification (PMP) certification and/or facilitation certification preferred
Program and/or portfolio management experience preferred
*Hybrid Schedule: In office 2 to 3 days per week

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $93,000 to $123,500 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
