Job Summary and Responsibilities

Provides mammography and other breast imaging procedures.

 

  • Displays competency operating CAD system and mammography equipment including performing procedures in the department, in the operating room, and on a mobile basis.
  • Displays a thorough knowledge of anatomy, positioning an of various isotopes utilized. Displays competency injecting isotopes, if required. Updates patient examination history file, records unusual conditions/limitations, documents examination time, room number and technique factors. Comletes xamination and billing procedures as required.
  • Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others by use of available radiation protectiondevices. Ensure badges are worn appropriately and readings are available.

Job Requirements

Minimum

Graduate from an approved Radiological Technology Program

Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (RTVS) andBasic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)

Medical Radiographer: AZ (MRAD:AZ)  andMamo Radiology Tech: AZ (MAMMRAD:AZ) and

Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR) or

Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry (RTBD) N/A upon hire Required orRegistered Technologist Computed Tomography (RTCT) N/A upon hire Required orRegistered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography (RTCV) orRegistered Technologist Mammography (RTM) orRegistered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging (RTMR) orRegistered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology (RTN) orRegistered Technologist Quality Management (RTQM) orRegistered Technologist Radiation Therapy (RTT) orRegistered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad (RTVI)

Basic computer skills including MS Office Suites. Demonstratesexcellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Familiar with ACR, FDA and State mammography standards
