A Revenue Cycle Projects Director plans, develops, and manages special initiatives to improve revenue cycle performance by analyzing data, implementing process improvements, and collaborating with various departments. This role focuses on specific projects to optimize efficiency, increase revenue capture, manage implementation of new systems, and ensure compliance with regulations. Key responsibilities include setting project goals, creating project plans, and communicating progress to leadership.
Project Management: Develop and manage special projects from start to finish, including creating project plans, setting milestones, and ensuring deadlines are met.; Process improvement: Analyze and identify opportunities to improve the revenue cycle through data-driven methodologies and operational improvements.; Strategic Planning:Collaborate with senior leadership to define project scope and deliverables, and develop strategies for revenue optimization.; Implementation and oversight: Oversee the implementation of new systems and processes.; Data analysis and reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on project progress, performance metrics, and key findings to senior leadership.; Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with departments such as IT, finance, and operations to align goals and ensure seamless project execution.; Compliance:Ensure all projects and implemented processes comply with relevant federal, state, and payer regulations.; Accepts and completes all duties positively and without conflict.; Cooperates, helps others, and improves the performance of the unit.; Completes all mandatory unit, educational and hospital requirements.; Utilizes cost effective practices in performing all aspects of the job.; Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards.; Facilitates cooperative and collaborative relationships among disciplines/departments to assure effective delivery of services to support quality patient care.; Encourages and participates in planning and program development to facilitate the effective delivery of services that support quality patient care.; Communicates and uses appropriate customer relation skills with physicians, patients, families and healthcare team in person and via all forms of communication.; Responds to direct requests timely via all forms of communication.; Regular and prompt attendance; Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required; Related duties as required.
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and five years of revenue cycle experience. Directly related experience may substitute on a year for year basis for the required education. Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
