The following minimum expectations will be reviewed at your 90 review. These expectations arelisted to help you focus on the preliminary expectations to maintain the position ofMaintenance Purchaser. You may be assigned a specific focus area based on the plant needs atthe time and will be supplied with a focus list that will be used during your initial 90 dayevaluation. We do not wish to restrict your thirst for knowledge or your creative spirit, but wedo encourage you to master the listed Key Result Expectations as they will be reviewed at your90-day review. Additional efforts and skill applications are always welcome.
Key Result Accountabilities1. Maintains the maintenance support parts inventory by ordering, tracking, placing purchaseorders, receiving goods, matching invoices, and properly coding to correct departments.2. Investigates alternative suppliers for better quality and pricing on supplies, parts, andequipment.3. Confers with current and prospective vendors to determine supply capabilities, transportationlogistics, and delivery terms.4. Confers with Managers regarding overdue material and parts concerning repair delays.5. Recordkeeping and inventory management; Filing; cycle counting and year-end inventoryaudits; issues/returns parts and materials; housekeeping and organization of parts room.6. Stocks parts shelves7. Records and maintains an inventory of materials and parts received, stocked, and distributed.8. Examines tools and parts received, verifies parts numbers, and checks discrepancies such asdamaged or unmarked parts.9. Applies parts work orders in SAP as listed on the parts sign out sheet10. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional considerationsThe Employee will be expected to attend safety training, serve on the facility safety committee, andparticipate in hazard analysis and resolution..
Preliminary QualificationsTo be qualified for the Maintenance Purchaser level the prospective employee must pass astandardized test to ascertain their basic knowledge of the various trade skills.
Environmental Working ConditionsThe Employee must comply with all safety policies and safe work procedures established by thecompany. Job tasks may also involve:Using personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, goggles, gloves, hearing protection,protective clothing, and other equipment as established in company policies and safe work procedures.Working with cutting & machining fluids, solvents, lubricants, and other hazardous chemicals usingappropriate safety controls.Lifting/moving objects up to 50 pounds in weightFrequent carrying, bending, standing, sitting, and repetitive motion.Levels of noise greater than 60 decibels requiring hearing protectionSmells or odors from Spices, ingredients, or cleaning chemicals
